"Water flows continually into the ocean But the ocean is never disturbed: Desire flows into the mind of the seer But he is never disturbed. The seer knows peace…He knows peace who has forgotten desire. He lives without craving: free from ego, free from pride."

- Bhagavad-Gita (via yogafe)

Translation:
“O you who dress most handsomely, my earrings repel the leaping deer of my eyes. They are like the snares of Kāmadeva that bind the hearts of young men. Please decorate my ears with those earrings.”
Commentary:
Rādhā tells Kṛṣṇa, “My darling who wears a yellow shawl, decorate my ears with these ornaments, elegant as the trap of Kāmadeva. My ears prevent the deer of my eyes from bounding away. O delight of my heart, adorn my ears with these ornaments that bewilder the hearts of young men.”
This verse describes how Rādhā’s eyes are so wide that they reach around to her ears. The comparison with a deer has been made to shed light on their restlessness and their rapid angular movements.

"He who acts for my sake, loving me, free of attachment, with benevolence toward all beings, will come to me in the end."

Scenes from Krishna’s life.

bythebear:

Krishna.
The story goes that Krishna fell asleep, and while asleep every pore of his body cried out the name of his beloved, “Radha..Radha”.
Radha, hearing this, approached Sri Krishna. She was taken aback by this sweet gesture, she was amazed that even while sleeping, every fiber of Krishna’s essence was crying out to her. Enamored by this, Radha fainted at this sweet sight. And similarly, every pore of Radha’s being, every bit of her..then cried out audibly, Krishna, Krishna..
Hearing this, Krishna awoke, stunned by this sight—he fainted out of love, and every pore of his body cried out to her once more— Radha, Radha..
Radha hearing this, awoke stunned at the sight, she fainted..
Over and over this happened..
And they say that is reality and true consciousness. This is nothing more than the blissful feeling of rising and falling, all of this is nothing more than: Krishna, Krishna, Radha Radha.
Happy Janmashtami! Radhe, Radhe.
